What are pectin gummies?

Pectin is a natural fiber derived from fruits, in our case apple peels and orange peels. We chose to use pectin because it is plant based. It also has the added benefit of being a source of dietary fiber; albeit small, every little bit helps our little ones!

The alternative to pectin that some of our competitors use is gelatin, which is an animal-based protein, typically made from pig skin. We know some of our kids and parents would prefer to avoid pork, so we decided to keep it simple and keep to vegan-based ingredients whenever possible.

Pectin also has a higher melting point than gelatin. This allows us to deliver Vitanoms to warmer climates without the risk of having them melt into one single gummy blob like other vitamin companies.
